Beaver loses to Brandywine after a great match

New Kensington, PA- Beaver falls to Penn State Brandywine after a great show of skill and effort.

The match went back fourth between the two teams, who both played exceptionally well. Beaver had arguably one of their best games of the season even if it resulted in a loss. In the first set Beaver was able to put up 16 points. Unfortunately they were beat to 25, but that didn't stop them from playing with heart.

In the second set Beaver kept up their playing momentum and were there to compete. This was the first time all six starters played together this week for the entire match. It showed that these players have great chemistry and were able to control the ball and capitalize, only being beat by 3 points in this set.

The third and final set had the same tempo, each team scoring and then the opposing team answering. Coach BJ Bertges said that it was really fun and exciting to watch the match unfold as a coach. Beaver was able to keep up again with Brandywine, unfortunately they lost the set leaving the overall final score at 3-1, Brandywine.

Beavers key players were their whole starting line-up, all having spikes and most having kills. It is impressive for all players to put points on the board. Hopefully Beaver can keep their drive and gain a win in their next match.

Beaver faces Penn State Fayette next on October 3rd at 7 p.m.
