Beaver volleyball wins against New Kensington

Monaca, PA- Beaver's Lady lions dominate the court against Penn State New Kensington.

At the start of the match-up you could tell which team had the better chemistry and communication, that team was Beaver. Beaver's team called out plays to each other and it showed that better communication can be the game changer.

It seemed like shot after shot was either a kill by Beaver or a volley which ended in a point for Beaver. In the first period Beaver was able to beat New Kensington to 25 with them only scoring 17 points.

Beaver played a very consistent game throughout the rest of the match, calling out shots and assists like veterans who have been playing together for years. They were able to hold New Kensington in the teens for each period and just dominated the court for a team that hasn't been together for very long. The final score was Beaver, 3-0.

Beaver's key players were, Madeline Hill (Monaca, PA/Central Valley) and Natalie Gamble (McKees Rocks, PA/Sto-Rox) each with six kills. Kalynn Hill (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) and Kayona Ward (Beaver Falls, PA/Beaver Falls) also had a great game.

Beaver's next match-up is against Franciscan on Monday, September 23.
