WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite 12 kills from junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (16-25, 20-25, 9-25) to Mt. Aloysius College Monday. Freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) had a season high 16 assists in the loss that drops the Lady Wildcats to 0-4 overall.
Penn College's best chance to win a game came in set two when they jumped out with the lead Mt. Aloysius came back for a late run to snatch the win away. In the set, the Lady Wildcats hit .500 totaling 14 kills.
Also for Penn College, sophomore Loralee Lindemuth (Tidioute) had five kills and two aces while senior Rachel Heller (Allison Park) led with five digs.
Next up, the Lady Wildcats host Penn State Hazleton on Thursday, Sept. 12 for a 7 p.m. match.
