Sandy Wins, PSUAC Volleyball Final Postponed
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Due to the pending effects of Hurricane Sandy, today's PSUAC Championship game between Penn State Fayette and Penn College has been postponed. No make up date has been announced.
PSUAC Commissioner John Fritz informed the teams at approximately 8:30 a.m.
"It is without a doubt the right call," said Vince Capozzi, Fayette's athletic director who was consulted on the decision.
"No championship is ever worth putting our student-athletes at risk," he added. "This decision was an easy one.
Capozzi noted that there is a possibility that a date for the championship could be set after next week's USCAA National Volleyball Championships. Fayette has already received an at-large berth to that tournament.
