Wildcats Clinch Second Seed for PSUAC Playoffs with 3-0 Win Against PSU Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. – With the help of four kills and five blocks from sophomore Kelly Hebert (Wellsboro) the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team swept Penn State Hazleton 3-0 Sunday. The win was the final regular season match for the team that improve to 21-7 overall and 15-1 in the Penn State University Conference. It also guarantees a second seed in the PSUAC Playoffs.

The Wildcats dominated play throughout the match taking the sets 25-9, 25-8, 25-10. Junior Rachel Heller (Allison Park) was strong defensively digging 10 and also adding two aces. Sophomore Caitlyn Curley (Middletown) had three kills and led with 11 assists.

As a team, Penn College totaled 17 kills, 11 aces and 30 digs.

Penn College will await to see the outcomes from the other PSUAC matches on Sunday, but will most likely host a playoff match for the quarterfinal rounds on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
