Eagles Fly Over Penn College 3-0

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Despite seven kills from sophomore Melissa Lake (Winburne), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team lost 3-0 to Elmira College Wednesday night. Senior Tara Powell (Burgettstown) notched 15 digs and sophomore Kelly Hebert added six blocks. With the loss, the Wildcats drop to 19-7 overall.

Elmira came out strong taking set one 25-9 and followed up with a 25-16 victory in set two. It wasn't until set three that Penn College started to play its game but it was too late and they were edged out 25-22. Sophomore Rachel Heller (Allison Park) came into set three and showed strong defense with four digs.

Also for the Wildcats, sophomore Caitlyn Curley (Middletown) had seven assists while freshman Morgan Moberg (Huntingdon) had six.

Next up, Penn College hosts Penn State Hazleton on Saturday, Oct. 20 for a 1 p.m. match.
