LADY LIONS’ RALLY COMES TOO LATE TO OVERCOME PSU HAZLETON

Coming in hot off of their first win at their tri-match on Sunday the Lady Lions Volleyball team hosted their first home match of the season against PSU Hazleton. Starting off strong PSU Hazleton dominated the court with their communication and ball handling. In minutes the first set was over in favor of the visitors 25-7. In the next set Scranton showed up giving Hazleton a harder time, although they still prevailed. Set 3 was a different story as Scranton worked together to rally for 25 leaving Hazleton having to work for another win. Jennifer Smith and Mollie Fenwick had over 4 kills each, Smith with 3 aces. Beth Yuschovitz had 2 kills and Alyssa Strausser led the team in digs. Their next game will be on Wednesday, September 26 at PSU Schuylkill at 7pm.
