Beaver drops home opener to CCBC

Monaca, PA--- The Lady Lions hosted the Titans of CCBC for the first home match of the year. The Lions fell behind in the first set and never seemed to be able to regain momentum as CCBC won that first set 25-20 and then won the final two sets of the evening 25-16 in each set to win the match.

Beaver was led by Kayona Ward (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) who had collected 5 kills as well as 2 blocks. Amanda Palumbo (Aliquippa, Quigley Catholic) had 2 aces and Candace Emanuel (Murrysville, Greensburg Central Catholic) had 10 digs. Beaver will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Mercyhurst North East at 6pm.
