Women’s Tennis: Lady Wildcats Open Season with 8-1 Win Over Baptist Bible College
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women's tennis team opened up its 2013 season with a dominating win over Baptist Bible College 8-1. The Lady Wildcats were strong in all of their wins dropping only one set to the Defenders. Junior Taylor Pompili (Renovo) had a strong opener winning in straight sets at fourth singles 6-0, 6-0.
Penn College (1-0) swept all of its double matches losing only three games. In singles sophomore Taylor Lapointe (Pelham, N.H.) put up a fight at the third flight with a 6-0, 3-6, 10-6 victory over Kay Black.
Next up, the Lady Wildcats travel to Penn State Brandywine for a 12 p.m. match on Saturday, Sept. 7.
