ALFRED, N.Y. - Freshman Reda Vermilya (Turbotville) had 18 saves in the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's soccer team's 4-0 loss to Alfred State College. The Wildcats had a tough time getting any offense going totaling six shots to Alfred State's 31. The loss drops the team to 8-3-1 overall.
In the first, Alfred score three goals all within one minute starting in the twelfth. The Wildcats settled and did not allow another goal in the half. Vermilya had six saves in the period.
The Pioneers scored their final goal in the 50th sealing the four goal win. For Penn College, sophomore Elizabeth Greis (Pottsville) led with two shots.
Penn College next hosts Susquehanna University on Thursday, Oct. 25 for a 5 p.m. match.
