Passalacqua and Steer Score in Penn College 5-0 Win Over Chatham

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -Sophomore Valeria Passalacqua (McAlisterville) and freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) each scored two as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's soccer team won 5-0 over Chatham University. Freshman keeper Reda Vermilya (Turbotville) notched eight saves in the win that is the team's second straight. The Wildcats improve to 6-1-1 overall.

Steer got things started in the eighth with a laser off a free kick from 25 out. She followed it up in the 18th with another free kick goal taking the Wildcats into the break up 2-0. Passalacqua scored back-to-back goals in the 70th and 72nd with freshman Laresa Paden assisting on the second. Paden closed out the game netting a ball in the 81st.

In the game, Penn College outshot Chatham 26-11.

The Wildcats take a little break before getting back into action on Wednesday, Oct. 3 when they host College of St. Elizabeth at 7 p.m.
