Despite Huge Second Half, Lady Lions Fall Short

Pittsburgh, Pa- A 17-point half time deficit was too much to overcome, as GA fell 79-73 to Chatham University. Despite a huge second half come back attempt that saw the Lady Lions out score Chatham 45-34, GA still fell short.

A balanced attack on offense saw five different GA players score in double-figures, led by Sophomore Guard Megan Brinkos' (McKeesport) 16.  Fellow Sophomore Guard Monica Poupakis (West Mifflin) added 11, while Freshman Guard Taylor McCallister (Norwin) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds.  For the third straight game, at least three GA women scored in double-figures.

With the non-conference loss, the Lady Lions now hold a 5-9 record overall, while remaining 4-2 in PSUAC play. The women return to the court Wednesday, as they host PSUAC rival Penn State Beaver at 6 PM.
