Large Halftime Deficit Dooms Lady Lions

McKeesport, Pa- A slow start, coupled by shooting just 25% from the field, doomed the Lady Lions, as they fell 65-53 at the hands of visiting Westmoreland CC.  A 33-18 halftime deficit was simply too much to overcome in the second frame, despite outscoring WCCC in it.

 Senior Forward Rachel Halaszynski (Elizabeth Forward) led the GA women with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Guard Monica Poupakis (West Mifflin) chipped in 13 points, while adding 6 rebound.
 
 Following the loss, the Greater Allegheny women now own a 3-8 record overall, and remain 2-2 in PSUAC play. The Lady Lions return to action this Friday the 13th, as they host PSUAC foe Penn State York.
