Penn College Women's Basketball Drops to Elmira College, 31-83

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women's basketball team dropped its fourth straight game with an 83-31 loss to Elmira College Tuesday. Junior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) led the Wildcats with 11 points and 10 rebounds while the Eagles' Alex Balara led all scorers with 17 points.

Penn College (1-11) jumped out to a 4-0 lead off jumpers from both freshmen Dana Reed (Sunbury) and Mackenzie Brown (Lititz). It was all Elmira from that point on as the team put together a 10-0 run to go up 10-4. The team would go into the break up 47-17.

In the half, the Wildcats struggled from the field shooting .185 (5-27). Reed ended up with nine points while Brown had five.

The second half was plagued with turnovers as Penn College committed 14. They ended the game with 39.

The Wildcats next travel to Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday, Jan. 12 for a 6 p.m. game.
