Men’s Soccer: Wilkes Downs Wildcats 5-0

 

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team faced a tough opponent in Wilkes University losing 5-0 Wednesday night. The Wildcats were outshot 26-11 in the game. Senior keeper David Munn (Athens) had seven saves in the first half while freshman Malcolm Kane (Glenside) came in relief in the second with four. With the loss, Penn College falls to 4-2 overall. 

 

Wilkes (6-1) scored four unanswered goals in the first with Eric McAnena getting things starting in the 11th. Nicholas Patricia made it 2-0 in the 18th and then Abdullah Albannay and Justin Weaver scored goals in the 36th to take it into the break up 4-0.

 

Mitchell Woodward closed out the Colonels' tab in the 82nd. David Marr, Patrick Loube and Kyle Romm all shared the shutout with Marr recording the win on two saves.

 

Next up, Penn College hosts Mount Aloysius College on Thursday, Sept. 19 for a 7 p.m. match.
