The 5-0 win is the third straight for the Wildcats
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Ben Shade (Fleetwood) scored two as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team defeated Penn State Beaver 6-0 Sunday. The win is the third straight for the team. The Wildcats improve to 7-4-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Senior William DeAngelo (Dallas) got things going in the 15th when he got a deflection from a Lion defender that he quickly sent into the corner of the goal. Freshman Matteo Frazzoni (Southampton, Bermuda) made it 2-0 in the 38th when he sent a ball into the top of the net off a set piece.
Out of the break, Shade took an outside pass from DeAngelo to score. He was fouled in the box in the 61st and scored on a penalty kick. Sophomore Chris Brennan closed out the game in the 72nd when he took a deflection off the keeper.
The Wildcats outshot Beaver 34-7 and totaled eight corners.
Freshman keeper Aaron Volz (West Chester) had five saves in the shutout.
