CHAMPIONSHIP PAGE w/ RESULTS

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Day one of the PSUAC Golf Championships is complete, and a sunny, but windy day, created some space between the top teams and individuals heading into Tuesday's final round. Penn State Hazleton jumped out to an eight shot lead on Monday after 18 holes and looks to defend their title. Penn State York's Logan Snyder was solid throughout the day and holds a four-shot lead in the individual event after a round of one-under par 71.

The PSUAC event, which is held concurrently with the USCAA Golf National Championship at the Penn State Blue Course, has 11 PSUAC campuses represented and nearly 50 players out of the 111 competitors.

Snyder leads Hazleton's Jeremy Harper, the defending medalist, who fired a three-over 75. Harper, who missed three weeks of golf, was strong in his first event since the PSU White Course Invitational nearly a month ago. Last year's runner-up, Ian Masenheimer of Penn State Lehigh Valley, was third in the PSUAC with a seven-over 79.

In the overall USCAA event, Snyder is tied for first while Harper sits in fourth place. The two will be paired together as they battle for both the league and national individual titles.

On the team front, Hazleton got solid outings from Colin Hoy (+9, 81), Joey Rebarchick (+10, 82) and Kolton Weaver (+10, 82) as they seek the team's third title since 2011.

The final round will begin on Tuesday, October 11th with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. at the Penn State Blue Course.
