Sophomore Alex Howe shot a 77 to win the Red Poling Invitational

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore Alex Howe (Lake Ariel) shot a 77 on a par 72 to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team win the Red Poling Invitational hosted by Penn State Fayette. Howe's score placed him first among all 24 golfers in attendance. The win is the second straight and third total for the team.

Freshman Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) shot an 83 placing second while sophomore Thomas Sonderegger (Westford, Mass.) had his best finish of the year shooting an 89 for fourth place.

Also for Penn College, junior Joseph Peters (Harrisburg) was fifth shooting a 90, sophomore Chad Vuocolo (Lock Haven) was sixth with a 91 and junior Daniel Kramer (Avon, Conn.) was 10th with a 93.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to State College for the Penn State University Athletic Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association Championships starting on Monday, Oct. 10.
