PSU Hazleton men notch victory

Tamaqua product Mike Taylor fired in 18 points and Hazleton Area graduate Eric Radishofski recorded a double-double with 11 points and 19 rebounds to help PSU Hazleton edge PSU Worthington Scranton.

PSU Hazleton held a two-point lead (27-25) entering the second half. The local Lions converted six second-half three-pointers to Scranton's four and made 16 free throws to Scranton 12 in the final 20 minutes to seal the win.

Taylor drained four three-pointers, and Radishofski also had five blocks in the game.

Yuri Burton and former Cougar Danny Fogarty both scored eight points for the local Lions.

Matt Macurt paced PSU Scranton with 29 points, seven rebounds and three steals; and DJ Davis added 15 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocks.
