Fenton Notches 18 in Loss to Fayette

 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) scored 18 and freshman Michael Acquaro (Oakhurst, N.J.) added 10 as the Pennsylvania College of Technology lost 104-53 to Penn State Fayette Saturday.  Fayette scored an impressive 67 points in the opener of the game, a deficit too great for the Wildcats to overcome.  Penn College now drops to 1-10 overall and 1-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Fayette opened on a 29-4 run in the first nine minutes of the game before Fenton hit a layup to stop the surge.  The Lions went into the half up 67-24 shooting an impressive .611 (11-18) from the arc.  

Fenton led Penn College in the half with nine as the team struggled for offense shooting .209 (9-43) from the field. 

Things settled in the second with the Wildcats making a 9-0 run in the 16th to make it 81-35.  In the half Penn College scored 29 to the Lions' 37.

Fayette out-rebounded the Wildcats 52-37 in the game.  The team had five players in double figures with Josh Tomson leading all scorers with 19 and going an impressive 5-6 (.833) from the arc.

For Penn College, Fenton led with seven rebounds while Acquaro notched five steals and assists.  

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State York on Sunday, Jan. 8 for a 3 p.m. conference match.
