Greenville, PA- Fayette has heartbreaking loss to Shenango.
Fayette seemed to struggle to find footing since the start of the game, with a score of 16-6 within the first 6 minutes of the game. Heading into the half, Fayette was down by 9 against Shenango. In the second half, Fayette shot under 40% for FGM and only 54% from the free throw line, which is not typical Fayette offense. The game resulted in Shenango victorious with a score of 88-69. Shenango and Fayette were battling for PSUAC West fourth seed heading into playoffs in a few weeks. However, Fayette is still able to turn the West upside down if they can stay the course moving forward with victories against New Kesington, Beaver, and Dubois on the road.
