Three USCAA National Championship Teams, Egli Winners Celebrated at Beaver Stadium

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Three Penn State University Athletic Conference programs were recognized at Beaver Stadium on Penn State's All-U Day on Saturday, November 18th for their 2022-2023 USCAA National Championship victories.

Penn State Brandywine's softball program, Penn State DuBois' baseball team, and Penn State Mont Alto's volleyball team, fresh off a repeat, were honored during halftime of Penn State football's regular season finale against Rutgers in University Park. In addition, the 2023 John S. Egli Outstanding Student-Athletes were part of the halftime ceremonies.

The day included tickets for players and coaches from last year's team along with the recognition of the teams on the field. A public address read accompanied the teams as they stood near the north end zone and waved to the crowd. Egli winners Bryce Barrouk (Brandywine), Kylee Gooding (Mont Alto) and Dylan Treaster (DuBois) were also present and had their names and accomplishments read during the ceremony.

Brandywine won its first-ever USCAA Softball Small College World Series in 2023, advancing through the winner's bracket and going undefeated in the postseason. DuBois baseball won its fourth USCAA title since 2018, taking down Cincinnati-Clermont for the championship. Mont Alto, originally expected to be recognized for its 2022 triumph at the USCAA Volleyball National Championship, was also honored for their win in the 2023 event just a week prior to the celebration at Beaver Stadium.

This is the second time the PSUAC has been able to have its USCAA National Championship teams recognized at a Penn State football game. Penn State Wilkes-Barre, the other USCAA national championship team from 2022-2023, was unable to participate due to a schedule conflict with its conference schedule.
