PSUAC Adjust Sunday Softball Schedule, Minor Tweaks to Baseball Championships

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State University Athletic Conference has announced changes to its Sunday slate of baseball and softball games at University Park due to rain forecast for the afternoon and evening hours.

SOFTBALL

The Softball Championship will resume its action on Sunday, May 7th at Nittany Lion Softball Park with play now beginning at 11:00 a.m. This is a four-hour shift to the morning from the original start time of 3:00 p.m. The first game will feature Penn State DuBois against the loser of the Penn State Brandywine-Penn State Schuylkill game scheduled for Friday, May 5th.

Game two on Sunday between Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State New Kensington is now slated for 1:00 p.m. at Nittany Lion Softball Park, with our third game of the day now beginning at 3:00 p.m.

BASEBALL

Over at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, baseball will not see significant changes as game one between Penn State York and Mont Alto will start as originally scheduled at 11:00 a.m. The only change to baseball is that games will begin as early as possible instead of waiting until their advertised start time. Once the grounds crew completes its work between games and infield/outfield is completed the games will begin. Therefore, if game one is over early, game two between Brandywine and DuBois may start early if field prep and warm-ups are completed. The PSUAC will not shorten warm-up times, but will start as early as possible to avoid potential weather delays.
