Championship Games Set for Baseball, Softball for Tuesday Morning

DUBOIS, Pa. - The Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball and Softball Championship games will begin in DuBois on Tuesday morning at Showers Field and Heindl Memorial Park, respectively. Penn State Mont Alto will be well represented at both sites as their teams advanced to Championship Day. Mont Alto's softball team will have to knock off five-time defending champion Penn State Brandywine twice in order to take the crown. Meanwhile, on the larger diamond Mont Alto's baseball team plays in the "If Necessary" game against Penn State DuBois. The teams will meet for the eighth time this year; Mont Alto leads the season series 4-3.

Softball will begin at 9:30 a.m.; baseball is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.

FAN POLICIES

  • Admission is free.
  • The PSUAC follows PA Dept. of Health guidelines which restricts capacity to 50%. We will follow this requirement at both Showers Field and Heindl Memorial Field, which limits capacity to approximately 800 and 700 people at a time, respectively.
  • A mask is required at all times when at the facility, with the exceptions of when one is eating or drinking. We kindly ask you to abide by these rules so we can continue to participate in our events.
  • Social distancing, except among members of a family, is expected and required during the event. Please do your best to keep all of our participants and spectators safe.
  • Please do not congregate near dugouts or other areas of the stadium; in addition, spectators are not permitted to wait for players inside the stadium. Please exit the stadium with proper social distancing and if you must meet with a player, do so in the parking lot.
  • We kindly ask you to be considerate of the teams playing and move to the outfield bleachers or standing areas when your favorite team is not playing. This will allow fans of the teams playing the game to sit behind home plate in the main covered seating area. 
  • Concessions will not be available on Tuesday. 
  • Restrooms are available on site at both facilities.
