10/18/2016 Volleyball Player of the Week: Janelle Cooper

Janelle Cooper is a Senior Outside hitter. She is a co-captain. In the past two weeks she has had back to back 100 percent kills; which seems impossible but she accomplished that and against the 2 top teams in the conference. This weekend was no different, she led the team in kills and second in digs. She lead the team to 4 conference wins where they did not surrender a set and their 15 straight conference win. The team behind Janelle never lost a conference set all year. They finished 15-0 in the conference "We would not have gotten here without her, because of her versatility and leadership." (Coach Nancy Wheeler) She is 5'9 and previous freshman of the year in the conference her first year at Fayette. "No other player in the history of my program has EVER been better as an all-around player and led the team like she did this weekend" (Coach Nancy Wheeler) I believe if she would win this weeks player of the week this would cap off an incredible regular season for Janelle and the team.
