Blair, Cherubini, DiPietro & Halford Lead their Teams to the Title

The PSUAC has concluded its Championship week with some phenomenal performances! This week's Players of the Week feature four outstanding student-athletes from across the conference as they led their teams to a title!

All individual award winner's announcement can also be found on their respective sport pages and in Player of the Week archives.

PSUAC Players of the Week are nominated by their individual campus and selected by the conference office from a list of nominees. Click on the award winners name for their full POTW profile!

Joey DiPietro, Baseball Hitter of the Week

Joey DiPietro was instrumental in leading Penn State DuBois to their third straight conference baseball crown, finishing the PSUAC Tournament with nine hits in four games, including going 4-for-5 in the Championship game. DiPietro finished the week with five RBIs and four doubles while scoring twice. DiPietro went 9-for-15 at the dish overall to help DuBois. 

Braiden Blair, Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Braiden Blair pitched seven innings over two games and picked up the win in the Championship Game this week to help Penn State DuBois win its third consecutive conference baseball championship. Blair struck out five batters and gave up only one walk, while scattering five hits. Blair gave up two early runs in the Championship before settling in to pick up the win and the trophy.

Rachel Cherubini, Softball Hitter of the Week

Rachel Cherubini racked up six hits and seven RBIs during the PSUAC Softball Championship Tournament this week, helping lead Penn State Brandywine to its sixth straight conference title. Cherubini had a double and a triple in her opening game against Penn State New Kensington, including five RBIs. In the championship game against Penn State Mont Alto Cherubini went 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Rebecca Halford, Softball Pitcher of the Week

Rebecca Halford picked up two wins in the PSUAC Softball Championship Tournament this week, including in Tuesday's Championship game. Halford pitched 10 innings and scattered 10 hits while giving up only one run, which was unearned. Halford struck out seven batters and walked four as her team combined to win 17-1 in her two games.
