Playoff Edition Players of the Week

It's Playoff time and here are the Players of the Week from the first weekend! This week's Players of the Week feature four outstanding student-athletes from across the conference!

All individual award winner's announcement can also be found on their respective sport pages and in Player of the Week archives.

PSUAC Players of the Week are nominated by their individual campus and selected by the conference office from a list of nominees. Click on the award winners name for their full POTW profile!

Toner Corl, Baseball Hitter of the Week

Toner Corl went 3-for-6 in the first rounds of the PSUAC playoffs to help DuBois advance to Championship weekend. He cracked a home run and had two RBI's, which put him first on the all time RBI leaderboard for DuBois with 92 career RBI's.

Brandon Orsich, Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Brandon Orsich pithced a complete game in the first round of the PSUAC playoffs to help his team advance to Championship weekend. Orsich allowed only one run (unearned) and scattered six hits while striking out seven to lead DuBois over Penn State Greater Allegheny.

Molly Collins, Softball Hitter of the Week

Molly Collins stepped up in a big way in the opening round of the PSUAC Championship Tournament, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, four RBIs, and two runs scored. The freshman outfielder led the way for Penn State New Kensington's 9-0 victory over Penn State Beaver to advance to Championship weekend.

Calle Zmenkowski, Softball Pitcher of the Week

In the opening round of the PSUAC tournament, Calle Zmenkowski did not allow a run and gave up just four hits against Penn State Beaver, who had beaten her twice during the regular season. She struck out four in the five inning game. She also led off the game by hitting a triple to set the tone for her team that went on to beat Penn State Beaver 9-0.
