Senior Spotlight: Alexis Breslin, Penn State Schuylkill

Welcome to our Senior Spotlight series. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the PSUAC had to cancel its fall and winter sport seasons. This prevented several student-athletes from receiving a proper senior day and minimized opportunities for Player of the Week awards. In its place, we will highlight seniors from around the conference throughout the remainder of the semester.

See more Senior Spotlight highlights on our Twitter (@psuac) and Instagram (psuac)!

How did your Penn State education prepare you for life after graduation? My Penn State education prepared me for life after graduation because it taught me how to be independent.

How do you hope to be remembered by teammates and coaches? I hope to be remembered as “Brez”. That should be enough explanation.

What is your favorite memory from playing your sport at Penn State? Volleyball- Making to the final 4; Softball- Myrtle Beach.

What is the best advice you ever received from a coach or teammate that you would share with other student-athletes? Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

What are you most looking forward to post graduation? Or in your transition to University Park (or other campus) to finish your degree? I am most looking forward to making lots and lots of money.

What are some of the tools or skills that you learned through all the years of playing your sport that you plan to instill once you enter the workforce? Teamwork, Trusting your Teammates, and be open minded to new things.

What impact did athletics have on your experience as a college student? What is your favorite memory outside of athletics during your time as a student-athlete? Athletics brought me my best friends. One of my favorite memories is going into the Hidden Stream Cafe with the crew and hanging out with Jess & Shelli.

Please use this space to thank anyone you wish to acknowledge for their support during your academic and athletic career. I would like to thank Coach Malone for helping me improve my volleyball skills and helped make me into the player I am today. I would also like to thank Mindy, Cindy, Linda, and Kayla for allowing me to complain about my problems to any one of you. Lastly, I would like to thank Darle Cresswell. Darle is like our “campus dad” , no matter what he was always there to hear what we had to say (even if he didn’t want to) and would always give us the honest truth. There’s so many other things that Darle deserves recognition for but we would be here for hours.
