Senior Spotlight: Tiffany Markovitch, Penn State Fayette

Welcome to our Senior Spotlight. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the PSUAC had to cancel its spring sport seasons. This prevented several student-athletes from receiving a proper senior day and minimized opportunities for Player of the Week awards. In its place, we will highlight seniors from around the conference throughout the remainder of the semester. Today starts with Penn State Fayette's Tiffany Markovitch!

Q&A

What has been your favorite memory while participating in athletics at your campus?

My favorite memory was making playoffs and going to USCAA Nationals my freshman year.

What advice do you have for your younger teammates or recruits that are looking at coming to Penn State Fayette?

The advice I have for my teammates is to play every game like it’s your last. You never know when your last game will be. Also, to have a strong bond with your teammates and don’t let anything get in between you guys.

Are there teammates, coaches or family members you would like to thank for having a positive impact on your playing career?

There are a lot of people I would like to thank. I’d like to thank my coaches for pushing me to do my best and believing in me. My teammates  for always cheering and picking me up when needed. For being my sisters I never had. My boyfriend for being there and helping me better myself for the season and making sure I had confidence. Lastly, I’d like to give a huge thank you to my family, especially my poppy. Thank you for coming to every game and being so supportive.  Poppy, thank you for coming into my life and learning everything you can to make me the player I am. Thanks for being my #1 fan and dropping things you wanted to do to not only help me but the whole team. You always knew the right thing to say  to get me  back in the game when I was getting down on myself. You made me believe in the quote “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game”. Forever thankful.
