BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Brenan Adams, Penn State Schuylkill

Second Year

Pottsville, Pa.

Brenan Adams of Penn State Schuylkill put together a dominant performance on the mound during the week. He tossed five shutout innings, allowing only one hit and striking out four batters. Adams' stellar outing didn't stop on the mound, as he added two crucial doubles at the plate, showcasing his all-around talent and leading the team to a big win.

BASEBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK

Grant Lillard, Penn State DuBois

Third Year

Flint Hill, Va.

Catcher/outfielder Grant Lillard led Penn State DuBois to six straight wins including three over conference opponents. He had eight hits, a home run, seven RBI and four stolen bases during the week.

SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Linda Shepard, Penn State New Kensington 

Second Year

Harmonsburg, Pa.

Linda Shepard was able to deliver an impressive performance across her past three appearances, starting two games and averaging seven strikeouts per seven innings. She kept hitters at bay with a 1.20 WHIP and led the team to two wins over the weekend.

Penn State Mont Alto outfielder Rachel Alleman has remained consistently strong this season despite the team losing the past two games. This past week Alleman has a batting average of .579, and eight RBI.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Bryan Calderon, Penn State New Kensington

First Year

In four games and 16 at-bats, Bryan Calderon hit .400 with an .867 slugging percentage. He tallied four doubles and a home run, scoring eight runs and contributing 10 RBI. Calderon also excelled defensively with a 1.000 fielding percentage and eight assists. Penn State New Kensington went 4-0 when Calderon played last week.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

Penn State Dubois Baseball

This past week, Penn State Dubois went 3-0 in conference play, winning its series against Penn State Shenango. In three games, Dubois amassed 38 runs. Dubois will start its next series on April 4, against New Kensington.
