Mont Alto Sweeps PSUAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Awards

Penn State Mont Alto Women’s Soccer 

Penn State Mont Alto women’s soccer is off to a 3-0 start to open the 2025 campaign, outscoring opponents 10-1. The team defeated USCAA foe Carlow, 1-0, and most recently picked up a dominant 7-0 victory against NCAA Division III opponent Trinity Washington. First-year forward Madeline Gordon leads the PSUAC in goals (three), points (seven) and shots (seven). Goalkeeper Brooklynn Fretwell, also in her first year, paces the conference in saves (32), save percentage (.970), goals against (one) and goals against average (0.67).

Madeline Gordon has made an immediate impact for Penn State Mont Alto. She registered a hat trick and an assist at Trinity Washington on Sept. 7. She has seven points in her first two collegiate games and leads the PSUAC in goals (three), points (seven) and shots (seven).

Brooklynn Fretwell, Penn State Mont Alto

Fredericksburg, Va.

Brooklynn Fretwell, a goalkeeper making her first career starts, led Mont Alto's squad to an undefeated week as she collected two wins with 19 saves. Fretwell averaged 9.5 saves while leading the team to shutout wins against Carlow and Trinity Washington.
