Anderson, Freeman Earn PSUAC Player of the Week Awards

Derek Freeman, Penn State Mont Alto

First Year

East Berlin, Pa. 

Derek Freeman took first place and led his team to victory in the PSUAC White Course Invitational by shooting a 71 in his first collegiate tournament. The one-under round helped lead Penn State Mont Alto's team score of 305, which won by 10 shots ahead of Penn State Shenango at 315.

In an impressive debut race with the Nittany Lions, Lilley Anderson finished first among Penn State runners, 114th overall, at the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen XC Invite 5k. Anderson set her new personal record at 23:23, maintaining a 7:30 mile pace in the early season.
