Women’s Basketball Player of the Week 5
Ny’Ashia Barnes, Penn State Beaver
First Year
San Antonio, Texas
Guard/forward Ny’Ashia Barnes helped Penn State Beaver to a 2-0 week with 40 points over two games as her team defeated two members of USCAA's Division I. She scored 10 points against Bryant & Stratton Ohio before dropping a career-high 30 points against Villa Maria. She hit seven of 11 three-point shots during the two games and made all nine of her free throws. She added eight rebounds.

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week 5
Amir Gray, Penn State Schuylkill
Fourth Year

Guard Amir Gray averaged a double-double — 25.5 points and 10 rebounds — during two games for Penn State Schuylkill during the week. He led all scorers with 26 points (and added nine rebounds) as his team snapped a losing streak with a conference victory over Penn State New Kensington. Gray shot 50 percent from the field over two games, making more than 10 shots a game while averaging 2.5 assists per contest.

Rookie of the Week 15
Savannah Walls, Penn State Fayette

Fairview, W.Va.
Guard Savannah Walls produced a pair of double-doubles during the week as the team went 2-0, excelling specifically on the glass. She scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds against Anne Arundel CC and then netted 16 points and pulled down 15 rebounds against Westmoreland CC. Walls also averaged 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game.

Penn State DuBois Women’s Basketball
The Penn State DuBois women’s basketball team earned two conference victories during the week, dropping Penn State Scranton (67-46) and Penn State Hazleton (76-36). So far this season DuBois is undefeated (4-0) in conference play, and the team has won five games in a row.
