Team of the Week 

Penn State Mont Alto Men's Basketball

Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball team continued its strong start to the 2025-26 season, picking up two conference wins and improving to 5-1 overall in November. Heading into Thanksgiving break, Mont Alto dominated visiting Penn State New Kensington 108-64 before toppling familiar foe Penn State Schuylkill 83-75 on Saturday. Mont Alto heads to Penn College of Technology on Tuesday this week before jumping back into conference play a week later against another top team in the East, Penn State York.

 

Men's Baskeball Player of the Week 3

Izzy Santiago, Penn State Shenango

Penn State Shenango guard Izzy Santiago impressed this week, averaging 30 points in two games as his team picked up wins in both. Santiago scored 24 points in a one-point win over conference rival Penn State Beaver on Tuesday before dropping a career-high 36 against Butler County CC on Thursday. In the non-conference tilt, Santiago also set the program record for made field goals with 15. In addition to the scoring, Santiago averaged seven rebounds and 2.5 assists and steals per game.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week 3

Dariana Perez, Penn State Mont Alto

Third Year

Penn State Mont Alto's Dariana Perez continued her hot start to the season in which she's averaging over 25 points and 10 rebounds per game. This past week, Perez was even better as she averaged 28 points and 11 rebounds in two conference victories for Mont Alto. Perez scored 30 against Penn State New Kensington before adding 26 the next day against Penn State Schuylkill. As part of her all-around performance, Perez also added 5.5 assists and four steals per contest.

Rookie of the Week

Savannah Walls, Penn State Fayette

Penn State Fayette first year forward Savannah Walls had an incredibly consistent week before the Thanksgiving break. In three games, Wells scored 17 points twice and grabbed in two games. Her lowest totals of the week were also impressive with 14 points and eight rebounds, in separate games, as Fayette went 2-1, including two conference wins.
