Team of the Week 10

Penn State New Kensington Men’s Soccer

Penn State New Kensington has won the PSUAC Championship for the first time in program history be earning an 1-0 overtime victory against Penn State Scranton. With a big penalty shot save from goalie David Jimenez, the team did not allow a goal throughout the postseason. The game ended with Tanner Stockdill’s winner in overtime. 

 

Women’s Soccer Player of the Week 10

Madison Warnack, Penn State Schuylkill

First Year

Kingston, Pa.

Madison Warnack, a midfielder/forwardm scored the game-winning goal in the PSUAC Championship to help Penn State Schuylkill win back-to-back conference championships with a 2-1 victory over Penn State Mont Alto. Warnack scored nine goals and collected five assists overall this season.

Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week 10

Leah Alexander, Penn State Schuylkill 

First Year

Lewistown, Pa.

Defender Leah Alexander was one of two goal scorers Penn State Schuylkill's 2-1 victory over Penn State Mont Alto in the PSAUC Championship. Alexander was an integral part of a stellar Penn State Schuylkill defense, which has only allowed three goals during the team's six-game winning streak.

Men’s Soccer Player of the Week 10

Tanner Stockdill, Penn State New Kensington 

Fourth Year 

Ford City, Pa. 

Tanner Stockdill scored the game-winning goal to propel Penn State New Kensington to a 1-0 victory in double overtime over Penn State Scranton at the PSUAC Championship on Nov. 4. The defender had played in 67 career games without a goal before firing a shot from the top of the box to win the title at Panzer Stadium in University Park. New Kensington will take on Central Penn College in USCAA Division II national championship pool play on Nov. 14. The match is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start in Coraopolis.

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week 10

David Jimenez, Penn State New Kensington

Fourth Year

Miami, Fla.

In Penn State New Kensington's PSUAC Championship, David Jimenez allowed zero goals including a penalty-kick save in overtime to keep the score knotted at 0-0. Jimenez also played a role in the Nittany Lions' semifinal win, coming on in the final few minutes to help secure the win.

Volleyball Player of the Week 10

Gracie Reinhart, Penn State York

First Year 

Mountville, Pa.

Penn State York’s Gracie Reinhart contributed a standout performance at the USCAA National Tournament. The freshman right-side hitter totaled 57 kills, ranking second in the entire tournament, while adding 37 digs, 12 service aces and 56 total points. Reinhart hit .169 on 160 attempts, showing both consistency and endurance throughout multiple matches.

Volleyball Specialist of the Week 10

Jillian Palumbo, Penn State Shenango

First Year

Hubbard, Ohio

First-year libero/defensive specialist Jillian Palumbo totaled 28 digs and 37 serve receptions in two games this past week for Penn State Shenango. Additionally, her team is first in program history to finish the conference slate with a 10-0 record.

Women's Runner of the Week 10

Faith Sullivan Penn State Shenango

Second Year

North Jackson, Ohio

Faith Sullivan took home first place at the Women’s PSUAC Cross Country Invitational last weekend. Sullivan ran a 6K course time of 25:12:6. Sullivan is the first runner to take home the women’s championship title for Penn State Shenango since 2004.

 

Men's Runner of the Week 10

Noah Haines, Penn State Scranton

Second Year

Madison Township, Pa.

Noah Haines dominated the 8K course during the USCAA Championships, finishing in 29:37 and earning All-America recognition. Haines crossed the line in fifth place overall and was the top runner from the PSUAC. He became just the second Penn State Scranton runner to become an All American (fourth-year teammate Mason Natalini did so in his first year).

 

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Karma Paez, Penn State Scranton

Second Year

Northridge, Calif.

Karma Paez opened up her season hot, with a 31-point performance in Penn State Scranton's season opener. Paez shot 50% from the field in the game, along with three assists and three steals. Paez's scoring and leadership helped lead Scranton to an 84-50 victory in Coach Troy Jackson Jr.'s first game at the helm of the program.

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Andre Campbell, Penn State Hazleton

Fourth Year

Baltimore

Andre Campbell averaged 22 points per game and shot 64% from the field through three games, leading Penn State Hazleton to a 2-1 record to open the season. Campbell, a 6-foot guard also averaged 3.7 steals and 4.7 rebounds during the week.
