Team of the Week 26

Penn State Greater Allegheny Baseball

Penn State Greater Allegheny picked up a series sweep over Penn State Beaver, dominating at the plate and on the mound. In a Saturday doubleheader, Greater Allegheny allowed only six hits and no runs, striking out 14. They followed it up with a sweep on Monday to improve to 4-0 in conference play and a tie for first in the West division.

Baseball Hitter of the Week 3

Brent Creehan, Penn State Greater Allegheny

Penn State Greater Allegheny's Brent Creehan was unstoppable at the plate this past week, hammering out 13 hits in four games and driving in nine. Creehan smacked five doubles and was on base a total of 15 times, coming around to score on 13 of them. Creehan's slash line for the week was .813/.789/1.125.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week 3

Zach Garlin, Penn State Mont Alto

A fixture for the Penn State Mont Alto pitching staff, Zach Garlin allowed just three hits in five innings of work in a win. Garlin walked none and struck out nine of the 15 batters he faced against Penn State New Kensington for a healthy 16.2 K's per 9 average.

Softball Hitter of the Week 3

Karly Rees, Penn State Brandywine

Penn State Brandywine's Karly Rees became the 11th player in program history to record 100 career hits, picking up 10 hits during the week, including six for extra bases. Rees drove in five runs and scored five times in 18 plate appearances, slugging 1.118.

Softball Pitcher of the Week 3

Delaney Glazer, Penn State Mont Alto

Penn State Mont Alto's Delaney Glazer pitched a five-inning no-hitter in a win this past week. Glazer struck out 10 batters and walked none, allowing just one baserunner throughout the game.
