Team of the Week 24
Penn State Fayette Baseball
Penn State Fayette finished spring break 4-2, picking up wins over cross-divisional foe Penn State Brandywine and USCAA member Christendom to push their overall record to 7-2 on the season. The team is currently second in the PSUAC in runs scored (90) and currently has the second-best ERA at 4.57.
Baseball Hitter of the Week 1
Sam Benvignati, Penn State Brandywine
Penn State Brandywine's Sam Benvignati hit for the first cycle in program history and set the team's single-game record with eight RBI in victory over Alfred University in Florida. Benvignati finished the week with nine hits and 13 RBIs, including two homers as he slugged 1.200 on the week. Benvignati also added two sacrifice flies and four walks, getting on base at a .636 clip.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week 1
Penn State York's Cole Sinnott finished spring break with two complete game victories on his team's trip to Myrtle Beach. Sinnott struck out 13 in his 14 innings pitched, giving up just seven hits and walking three for a 0.71 WHIP. Sinnott gave up just three runs, including only two earned.
Softball Hitter of the Week 1
Kaylee Mushinski, Penn State Brandywine
Kaylee Mushinski hit .333 with a team-high 11 RBI in Florida last week as Penn State Brandywine hit the road for spring break. Mushinski hammered a grand slam and drove in five runs overall in an 8-7, extra-inning win over Emmanuel. She also went 3-for-3 with three RBI in her team's win over Northland, and finished the trip hitting safely in six of the eight contests.
Softball Pitcher of the Week 1
Emma Crisswell, Penn State Schuylkill
Emma Crisswell took to the circle three times over spring break and picked up two victories for Penn State Schuylkill. Crisswell pitched a total of 20 innings and struck out more than 12.25 batters per seven innings, notching 35 total for the week. Crisswell allowed just 13 hits and four earned runs, pitching to a 1.40 ERA and 1.20 WHIP.
