MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK 13
Beau Verdill, Penn State DuBois
Fourth Year
Clarion, Pa.
Beau Verdill scored his 1,000th career point and grabbed his 500th rebound in Penn State DuBois’ game against Penn State New Kensington. Verdill played a crucial role in helping DuBois clinch the West Division regular season title for the first time since 2007. Penn State DuBois’ next game is Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. against Penn State Greater Allegheny.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK 13
Destiny Batiste, Penn State New Kensington

Destiny Batiste averaged 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4 steals over the course of two games. She scored 21 points, including her 1,000th career point, to go along with her triple double of 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals in a playoff-clinching victory over Penn State Greater Allegheny. Penn State New Kensington finished its season with a 68-52 loss against Shenango in the PSUAC quarterfinals.

Brandon Dennison, Penn State Fayette

Brandon Dennison averaged 14.5 points, 5 rebounds and had a 52% success rate for shots from the field, shooting 12 of 23 during the week. He had 29 points in two games and 13 rebounds. He averaged 6.5 rebounds as well. Penn State Fayette’s season ended with their game against Penn State Greater Allegheny on Feb. 21.

TEAM OF THE WEEK
Penn State Greater Allegheny Men's Basketball
After beating Penn State New Kensington Tuesday, Greater Allegheny came back from a 14-point deficit against Penn State Fayette on Friday to secure the no. 2 seed in the PSUAC West playoffs. Bryce Phillips led his team with 37 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the comeback victory. Elijah Hannon also had an emphatic performance with a double-double, scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds.
