Hazleton Sweeps Weekly Volleyball Awards with Mack and Del Vacchio

In the final regular season match for Penn State Hazelton, Sydney Mack lead the way with 25 kills during a win over Penn State York which earned Hazelton the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Division. She also tallied 16 digs in this match. Penn State Hazelton resumes play Oct. 24 at home against Penn State Schuylkill in the PSUAC quarterfinals.

Sophia Del Vacchio had one of her best games last Wednesday against Penn State York, totaling 48 assists in a five-set victory for Hazleton. To seal up the Easter Division regular season title for Hazleton, Del Vacchio added four kills and 16 digs. In a win against Penn State York, she nearly eclipsed her season high of 50 dimes in her overall effort for Hazleton. Penn State Hazleton will host Penn State Schuylkill at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in the PSUAC quarterfinals.
