Middle hitter Lillian Barker recorded 28 kills on 64 attacks, adding nine solo blocks and seven assisted blocks in matches against Penn State Beaver and Penn State Fayette. The 6-foot-1 Barker is averaging 2.06 kills per set this season. The team’s next match is Oct. 2 at Penn State Shenango.

Women’s Volleyball Specialist of the Week 5

Ashlyn Vandenbree, Penn State Mont Alto

Ashlyn Vandenbree’s production in three matches during the week was highlighted by 36 digs in a five-set victory over Hood College. She also had 13 digs in a victory over Dickinson College, and her week included 15 service aces. It’s the second time this season, she’s earned Player of the Week honors. The team plays Oct. 2 at Penn State York.
