Owens, Sullivan Capture PSUAC Cross Country Invitational Crowns, Earn Runner of the Week

Men’s Runner of the Week 9

Ashton Owens, Penn State Schuylkill

Second Year

Pine Grove, Pa.

Ashton Owens led four teammates with top-10 finishes and set a course record with a time of 28:16.6 as Penn State Schuylkill won the PSUAC Invitational for the second consecutive year. Owens finished 36 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Penn State Schuylkill next competes Nov. 2 at the 15th annual Go-Fast River Run at Lock Haven University.

 

Women’s Runner of the Week 9

Faith Sullivan, Penn State Shenango

Faith Sullivan came full circle this season, grabbing an early season Runner of the Week before closing out the PSUAC season with another award. Sullivan won the PSUAC Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at Penn State Scranton's course, winning by nearly 50 seconds. She'll race next in the USCAA Cross Country National Championship on November 10th at Penn State Fayette.
