Softball Pitcher of the Week

Emma Crisswell, Penn State Schuylkill

Fourth Year

Williamstown, Pa.

Pitcher Emma Cresswell had a dominant all-around performance this week. Across five games, Criswell threw 30.0 innings with a staggering 42 strikeouts and just one earned run allowed, posting a microscopic 0.23 ERA and a 0.77 WHIP. In addition, Crisswell was equally as impressive at the plate, piling up 12 hits, 12 runs scored and eight RBIs in 19 at-bats.

Softball Hitter of the Week

Keira Devor, Penn State Schuylkill

Second Year

Lewisberry, Pa.

Keira Devor led Penn State Schuylkill to a 6-0 record last week. Devor hit .632 with 12 hits, including three doubles and two home runs. She drove in 12 RBI and tallied 21 total bases, posting an astounding 1.105 slugging percentage. In Penn State Schuylkill's 1-0 win against Penn State Mont Alto, Devor knocked in the lone run on a sacrifice fly.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Remington Hart, Penn State Shenango

First Year

Warren, Ohio

Freshman Remington Hart delivered a dominant outing in his sole appearance this week. The right-hander threw five scoreless innings in relief, allowing just one hit with no walks and six strikeouts. Hart’s sharp performance helped extend Penn State Shenango’s win streak to six games.

Baseball Hitter of the Week

Vinny DeVone, Penn State Greater Allegheny

Fourth Year

Smithton, Pa.

Vinny Devone had a dominant weekend for Penn State Greater Allegheny, helping them to a three-game sweep of Penn State New Kensington, two of which were won by a one-run margin. The fourth year outfielder went 9-for-12, with six RBI and six runs, with a walk and two stolen bases. He also tallied two doubles with a 1.167 slugging percentage and .769 on-base percentage. He also had a perfect 1.00 fielding percentage. Devone's performance helped Greater Allegheny secure the two-seed in the PSUAC West Division.

Rookie of the Week

Brookelyn Kotch, Penn State New Kensington

First Year

North Huntington, Pa.

Brookelyn Kotch delivered a standout performance both at the plate and on the mound during the week. She threw five shutout innings, recorded five strikeouts and finished with a flawless 0.00 ERA. At the plate, she stayed hot, batting over .300 and adding a double and an RBI to her impressive outing.

Team of the Week
Penn State Schuylkill Softball

The Penn State Schuylkill softball team will take the No. 1 seed in the east into the playoffs after sweeping doubleheaders against Penn State Mont Alto (1-0, 3-0) and Penn State Hazleton (29-1, 17-4 both in five innings) during the week. Schuylkill is 12-2 in conference play this season. This week, Schuylkill completes the regular season with a doubleheader at Penn State Harrisburg before the playoffs begin.
