Brandywine Defeated By Defending Champion West Virginia Tech

MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- Harry Reilly scored three times as defending USCAA men's soccer champion West Virginia Tech knocked off Penn State Brandywine 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Bears (1-0) recorded four goals in the first half and tacked on five more during the final 45 minutes, including a pair from Reilly as he completed his hat trick.

Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) registered all four of Brandywine's shots on goal. West Virginia Tech keeper Hunter Moles was up to the test each time, recording his first shutout of the season.

A trio of goalkeepers saw action for Brandywine. Pat O'Neill (Morton, Pa./Ridley) played the entire first half, stopping five shots, while Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) and Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt.
