The Penn State Shenango Women's Basketball team had an outstanding weekend, securing two decisive wins over Penn State Scranton and Penn State Hazleton. The Lions showcased their dominance in both games with a combination of offensive efficiency, strong rebounding, and relentless defense.

In Fridays's 91-39 victory against Scranton, Shenango shot an impressive 52.5% from the field and controlled the boards with a 52-23 rebounding advantage. Shar'Da Williamson led the charge, scoring 24 points on 12-of-16 shooting while adding eight rebounds and four steals. Gabrielle King was a force in the paint, contributing 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while Hailee Aguinaga chipped in 11 points and nine boards. The Lions forced 16 turnovers, converting them into numerous fast-break opportunities, and their bench provided a significant boost with 26 points, including seven each from Aneziah Fryer and Azaria Bryant Franklin.

On Saturday, Shenango kept their momentum alive with an 86-54 win over Hazleton. Williamson once again led the offense with 18 points and six rebounds, while Oyin Adio delivered a well-rounded performance, contributing 15 points, five steals, and four assists. Aguinaga added 12 points and six rebounds, and Jaysina Sellers provided versatility with eight points, four assists, and four steals. The Lions improved their three-point shooting to 37.5% and continued to dominate defensively, forcing Hazleton into 32 turnovers.

Shenango's efforts over the weekend highlighted their depth and team cohesion. The Lions held their opponents to under 35% shooting across the two games, secured a combined 95 rebounds, and forced a total of 48 turnovers. With standout performances from Williamson, King, and Adio, Shenango looks prepared for continued success as they take on Penn State Greater Allegheny on Tuesday at 6 PM.
