MYRTLE BEACH, Sc. – Penn State Schuylkill Softball began their 2024 season matched up with Malone University at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic on Sunday.

A three-run inning by Malone at the bottom of the fourth gave them a 4-0 advantage heading into the fifth inning. A double at the bottom of the fifth drove in their fifth run of the contest. Schuylkill was unable to recover as Malone went on to win 5-0. Kaely Walshaw (Dornsife, PA / Line Mountain High School) recorded a single for Schuylkill in the loss.

Schuylkill (0-1 overall, 0-0 PSUAC) will take on Hilbert College at 3:00 p.m. in the second half of their Sunday doubleheader.
