New Philadelphia, OH – Kent State Tuscarawas secured their first victory since the start of their new basketball program, defeating Penn State New Kensington 64-61. The win marked an exciting milestone for the Golden Eagles, as they are led by new head coach Darryl Anderson, who is hopeful this victory will be the first of many for the future of the program.
The Golden Eagles were powered by strong performances from Zariyah Taylor, who scored a team-high 21 points, Abbey Parker, who dished out 5 assists, and Katie Burrier, who grabbed 11 rebounds.
Looking ahead, Kent State Tuscarawas will look to build on this success when they host Terra State Community College on November 26, 2024, at 5:30 PM.
