New Kensington Loses A Nail Biter

New Kensington, PA - New Kensington hosted PSU Mont Alto on Friday night for a Conference Showdown. 

New Kensington battled back and forth the whole first half. The Lions battled back from being down by 7 and took the lead. The first half ended tied at 37-37. 

New Kensington came out strong in the second half going up by 11 points. Mont Alto did not give up and battled back to take the lead. Mont Alto kept the lead until Shyheim Flanagan (Breaux Bridge, LA) hit a huge 3-pointer to put the Lion's up by 1 with 20 seconds left in the game. A foul called on New Ken put Mont Alto on the line, which they sank both free throws to take the lead with 10 seconds left in the game. New Kensington takes a time out with less than 6 seconds left. New Kensington inbounded the ball and was not able to get a shot off, losing 73-72. 

The Lion's offense was led by Aubrey Feaster II (Buffalo, NY) with 25 points on the night. Followed up Tarasi Means (Plum, PA) with 16 points, and Benjamin Cunningham (Woodbridge, VA) had 13 to round off the top scorers.
