Men's Basketball Falls to Mansfield

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Basketball lost their home matchup to NCAA Division II opponent Mansfield University on Friday.

Schuylkill got off to a strong start as two consecutive baskets by Wilvens Fleurizard (Tamarac, FL / Coral Springs High School) to begin the contest prompted a Mansfield timeout. Another Mansfield run out of a Schuylkill timeout extended their lead to 20 points before the end of the half.

A steal and slam by Dashawn Dixon (Baltimore, MD / Catonsville High School) halted Mansfield's early second half run, bringing the score 52-29 in Mansfield's favor. An 11-2 Mansfield run extended their lead to 30 with 12:30 to play. Mansfield was able to hold on to their lead as they went on to defeat Schuylkill.
