Men's Basketball Competes With NCAA Division I Fairleigh Dickinson

TEANECK, Nj. - Penn State Schuylkill Men's Basketball fell on the road to NCAA Division I opponent Fairleigh Dickinson University on Saturday.

Following an impressive opening defensive possession by Schuylkill, resulting in a Dashawn Dixon (Baltimore, MD / Catonsville High School) rebound, Devin Adams (Baltimore, MD / Kenwood High School) located Andrew Sepp (Bogota, NJ / Saint Mary High School) in the corner for a three-point basket, granting Schuylkill an early lead and prompting a Fairleigh Dickinson timeout.

In a sequence where Jahmir Tyrell (Paterson, NJ / John F. Kennedy High School) contributed 7 points, Schuylkill extended their lead to 9-2 with 16:13 remaining in the first half. A successful basket by Fairleigh Dickinson narrowed their deficit to 9-4 as the game entered the first media timeout.

Fairleigh Dickinson claimed their first lead of the game at 12-11 with a made three-point basket at the 12:04 mark. Tyrell led all scorers with 19 points. Sepp added 12 points, going 4 for 7 from 3-point range. Wilvens Fleurizard (Tamarac, FL / Coral Springs High School) added 14 points off the bench.

Schuylkill (1-4 overall, 0-0 PSUAC) will remain on the road as they travel to NCAA Division III opponent Eastern University on Monday, November 20th. Start time for that matchup is 7:00 p.m.
