Shenango Drops Triple-Overtime Thriller

The Penn State Shenango Men's Basketball team traveled south to face non-conference foe Franciscan University on Thursday afternoon, dropping the matchup 106-103 in triple overtime. The tightly contested game was forced into a first overtime when Devin Alson knocked down a 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Lions were led by D'Montez Owens who scored 32 points and secured 10 rebounds. Jeremiah Green contributed 21 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Franciscan was paced by Frank Bellissimo who scored 28 points while going 6-for-11 from three.

The Shenango Lions head into the holiday break with a record of 5-12 and will be back on the court January 12th at Penn State Brandywine.
